Case Competition

Start@Shea's Case Competition features a real case prompt provided by a company and solves a real-world problem. Students get the opportunity to present their solutions to company colleagues and gain hands-on experience consulting on a case.

2021's sponsor was the Boston Bruins, and students had to case on
how the Bruins could increase fan engagement through the use of emerging blockchain technologies.

After an initial screening round of executive summaries, and subsequent interview rounds, three teams reached the case competition finals to present to our Boston Bruins organzation judges, including Bob Sweeney, former BC Hockey Alumni and Boston Bruin.

First Place: Jack McCarthy '24,
Tristan Bruni '24, John Cagnassola '24

Second Place: Jackson Recht '22,
Alison Breen '22, Caroline Costa '22

Third Place: Makenzie Gorman '24, Isabella DeCurtis '24

Students get the opportunity to sharpen their casing skills while offering solutions to real-life business problems to the judges. This year's awards for the top three teams included cash prizes as well as suite tickets to a Boston Bruins game!
