ABOUT
Start@AI is a hands-on learning series at the Shea Center. Designed as a crash course in turning artificial intelligence into a practical career advantage, topics are selected by the student cohort and focus on how AI is reshaping industries and day-to-day work, with an emphasis on immediately applicable skills for internships, jobs, and projects.
Whether students are brand new to AI or already experimenting with tools, the goal of Start@AI is to help them build fluency, confidence, and real-world intuition around how AI can enhance their work.

Start@AI meets every other Wednesday at 8:30 PM in the Shea Room. We kicked off our first meeting on September 23rd, and our next meeting is Wednesday, October 7th. Come meet fellow members and help shape the ever-evolving conversation on AI. New members are always welcome!

Built, Scaled, Sold: A Founder's Take on AI and Entrepreneurship with CJ Floros
Join Start@Shea and Start@AI on October 15th from 5-6 PM in Room 202 Hayden Hall for a conversation with CJ Floros, a serial entrepreneur who has built and exited multiple companies, including one acquired by BlackRock. CJ will walk through his journey as a founder, how he approaches the complex problems that come with starting and scaling a business, and where he sees AI changing the way companies are built today. He'll also share what he looks for when hiring young talent, offering a rare look at what makes early-career candidates stand out to someone on the other side of the table. This session is a great opportunity for students interested in entrepreneurship, startups, AI, or simply learning how experienced founders think.
